Love Letter is a game of risk, deduction, and luck, for 2–4 players. Designed by Seiji Kanai, the game features incredibly simple rules that create dynamic and exciting player interactions. Players attempt to deliver their love letter into the Princess’s hands while keeping other players’ letters away. Powerful cards lead to early gains, but make you a target. Rely on weaker cards for too long and your letter may be tossed in the fire!
Each card in the game represents a key person in the princess’ life. Each card has a different effect when played and this effect is detailed at the bottom of the card.
Gameplay begins by shuffling all the cards and dealing one card to each player. On your turn, you will draw a card, giving you two cards in your hand. You now have to choose one of these cards to play. When you play the card, the effect on the card must be followed. When all the players but one are knocked out of the round of play, the person left standing is the winner for that round and gains a heart affection token. Collect four tokens and you are the overall winner!
